    Dear Jesse,

Reed Morano Walker forwarded your website to me.

I am one of the curators for a new hybrid public video art/film project called the Big Screen Project that is going live at the end of October, 2010 – it is currently still under construction, but it is making progress every day. I am interested in screening your work at the Big Screen Project.

THE BIG SCREEN PROJECT, a real space where people, media and culture connect

The Big Screen Project is an innovative presentation model for video, film, live and interactive content. It consists of a large 30 ft. x 16.5 ft. HD Format LED screen located at the 10,000 sq. ft. public plaza behind a new 54-story multi-use building on Sixth Avenue between 29th and 30th Street in New York City. The content shown is eclectic ranging from the best in the arts, cinema, and new media to highlights in sports and video gaming. The vision is to expose the general public to fresh cultural content and to raise awareness for inspirational aims on subjects ranging from the ecological to the humanitarian. Our team of curators collects the best of global cultures in participation with content partners such as art institutions, film festivals, ecologically and humanitarian minded not-for-profits etc.

The screen shows a diverse schedule of daily programming organized into conceptual blocks. The schedule can be previewed on the Bigscreenproject.org website.

The aspiration is for The Big Screen Project to become an art and edutainment destination continuously evolving with its audience and galvanizing Upper Chelsea with thought-provoking tapestries of contemporary media.
Here is a little more about the project:

    * A 30 ft. x 16.5 ft. HD Format LED screen is located at the public plaza behind 855 Sixth Avenue extending between 29th and 30th Street in New York City.
    * The 10,000 sq. ft. plaza is adjacent to the new 54 story building including the Kimpton hotel, Eventi and residence, the Beatrice.
    * The venue has direct sound from the LED screen as well as zoned sound along the walls of the plaza and FM transmitters that will broadcast to headsets.
    * Seating within the outdoor Food Parc, a collection of chef-inspired food stands.
    * Ability to exhibit screen content in hotel ballrooms as well as individual rooms.
    * Access point for video, music and gaming input in plaza.
    * Eventi Hotel, with over 20,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and multiple outdoor terraces to accommodate guests for special events and openings connected with the screen.
    * The screen will show a diverse schedule of daily programming, live plaza events and festivals.

It is a really impressive space, so it is best to see it in person! If you are around NYC this summer I can give you a tour. If have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Best regards,

    Stephanie
